A team of caring people helping patients receive thorough, personable care in a variety of difficult situations. I have enjoyed the challenges and opportunities to grow professionally – my job is never boring! Q: What changes have you seen since you started? A : Diagnostic Imaging at YMC has grown by leaps and bounds. Computed Radiography, Picture Archiving and Communications, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), 4-D Ultrasound, Digital Mammography and Computed Tomography (CT) are just a few things that have been upgraded and improved. They bring so many more options and there is no need to even leave the building. It’s all right here! Another wonderful change that has occurred since I started is the addition of Radiologist Dr. Will Eidsness. Dr. Eidsness has been at YMC for 4 1/2 years and his exceptional diagnostic abilities and his gentle demeanor has proved to be a great comfort to patients and staff alike. He also works very closely with Dr. Mary Milroy to provide excellent care that is superior in the region. Yankton is fortunate to have this high caliber of care right at our doorstep. Q: Why do you love working for Yankton Medical Clinic? A : I was raised in Yankton and YMC has served me, and my family, throughout my life. Dr. Lyso was my mother’s doctor. He delivered me – and believe it or not – cared for me years later while I was pregnant with my oldest son, Matthew. When Dr. Lyso retired he referred me to his successors that he trusted with my total healthcare. Those relationships have been a godsend over the years. YMC is like family. I’m not just a number here – my co-workers know and care about me, and my family, even outside of the workplace. Whether it has been my experience as an employee or as a patient, the Clinic has a strong foundation based on relationships, caring and trust that I find as important in the workplace as I do in my family’s healthcare!
