i’ve worked with
Dr. Krell in pediatrics
at Vmc since i began
working at the clinic.
Does a particular moment in your work
at the clinic stand out to you and why?
all of our/my patients are special. i’ve had a
few stand out more than others. We’ve had a few
that have passed away from cancer or heart
conditions that have definitely left a place
in my heart that i will never forget along with
their families. it’s a feeling that is hard to describe.
Have you had a situation delivering
care that really stands out?
made you feel – YeS, this is my calling?
i knew pediatrics was my calling when little
patients hugged me and said, “i love you.“
What do you enjoy most about your job, and
what do you enjoy most about working for Vmc?
i love that my patients know me and trust me. i’ve worked at VMc for
18 years, so i have given kids their kindergarten shots who are now
having their own babies, and i’m giving them shots! What i enjoy
most about my job is seeing these newborns grow and reach all
their different milestones. it’s very rewarding seeing them go
from newborns, to kindergarten, and then off to college.
if you were encouraging someone else
to come and work for Vmc,
what is it that you would focus on or say?
at VMc we work together as a team, we’re like family.
everyone pitches in to help each other at any time!
